La Donuts is a local donut shop that grew from around 30,000 to around 100,000 followers over eight months of working with Get Known. We filmed videos inside the shop, published them consistently, and owner Frida says the result was lines out the door and customers from all over Australia.
La Donuts is a local donut shop run by Frida. When Get Known started working with her, the shop's following sat at around 30,000.
Frida's own message tells you what was missing. It opens with the words "After we started posting". Not after we rebranded, not after we ran a big campaign. After we started posting. That is the position nearly every food business is in when they reach us. The product is good, the owner is flat out, and the accounts go quiet for weeks because content is the first job that gets dropped and the last one that gets picked back up.
We filmed in the shop and we published consistently. That is the method in one sentence, and we are comfortable saying it that plainly, because the hard part was never the idea. The hard part is doing it every week while also running a donut shop.
Filming happened where the product happens. We point the camera at what a shop already does well, the product being made, the counter, the boxes going out the door. A business like this does not need a studio. It needs someone to capture what is already worth watching, then actually post it.
We batch the filming. One session in the shop covers weeks of content, which means Frida was never asked to become a part time videographer. She kept serving customers, and the publishing schedule kept running no matter how busy the shop got. No single post was the plan. The stream of posts was the plan.
Here is Frida's message from 6 August 2024, shared with her permission.
"After we started posting my videos went viral. I had lines out the door, customers from all over Australia, sales through the roof. I think I received around 100k in followers over 2 platforms."
Get Known client records, with figures supplied by the owner, show the following growing from around 30,000 to around 100,000 over eight months.
We are not going to dress that up with adjectives. Her words cover it better than ours would.
We would rather lose an enquiry than take on the wrong client, so read this before you get in touch.
This is not for you if you will not let a camera into your business. The La Donuts content worked because it was filmed in the shop, around the real product. If your shop is off limits, so is this method.
It is not for you if you want a quick burst instead of a commitment. Frida's growth played out over eight months of consistent publishing. If you plan to stop the moment a video does well, or the moment one does not, save your money.
And it is not for you if you would treat these numbers as a quote for your own business. They are one client's outcome, reported in her own words, and no agency can promise you a repeat. If someone does promise you that, walk away, including from us.
Everything numerical on this page comes from two places. The quote is a client message from Frida dated 6 August 2024, published word for word with her permission. The follower figures are owner supplied and drawn from Get Known client records, showing growth from around 30,000 to around 100,000 followers over eight months.
You may notice the two sources do not line up perfectly. Frida's message describes receiving around 100k in followers over 2 platforms. Our records show the total moving from around 30,000 to around 100,000. We publish both rather than blending them into one tidy figure, because a case study you can trust matters more to us than a case study that reads cleanly. If a number is not on this page, we do not have a source for it.

Get Known filmed content inside the La Donuts shop and published it consistently. Filming was batched, so a single session covered weeks of posts and Frida could get back to running her business. There was no complicated trick, just the simple things done every week without fail.
Nobody can promise you that, and you should be wary of anyone who does. Every product, account and audience is different, and content is aimed at results, it never guarantees them. What Get Known can commit to is the same method used with La Donuts, filming in your business and publishing consistently.

The same way it worked at La Donuts. Get Known batches the filming, so one session in your shop covers weeks of content, and you spend the rest of the time serving customers rather than holding a phone. You do not need to become a full time creator to publish consistently.
